Welcome to the Sherrodsville Volunteer Fire Department, Inc.  We are an all volunteer, non-profit (501c3) organization located in Carroll County, Ohio.  We serve approximately 5,000 citizens, covering 72 square miles.  In Carroll  County we provide fire protection in Orange Township and Monroe Township.  In Tuscarawas County we provide fire protection in Warren Township, Union Township, and the Village of Roswell.  We have approximately 115 runs per year.

Sherrodsville V.F.D., Inc.  is a rural fire department with 13 current active and trained volunteer firefighters, 4 HazMat Technicians, and 2 EMT's.  We got our new building finished in November 2004 to house our equipment including 6 trucks and a 17' Rescue Boat.

We have all worked very hard to get where we are today.  We have been able to purchase much needed equipment thanks to grants and donations from the community.  We have 3-4 major fundraisers each year.  We have a food stand at the Atwood Fall Festival every October and Tractor Pulls two or three times a year.  We hope to continue having more fundraisers since we are now in a great location to hold more fundrasiers.

We are always looking for new members to join our department.  If you live in the area and are interesting in joining the Sherrodsville Volunteer Fire Department, Inc. you can come to one of our monthly meetings.  We have regular meetings at the firehouse on the 3rd Sunday of every month at 4:00pm.  Or you can contact us at the number below.  If there is no answer just leave a message on the machine and our Chief or Assistant Chief will return your call.  You must be 18 years old to join the department.
